Robert A Cottle, Partner.
Rob Cottle has a wide range of experience in business advisory services as well as taxation, superannuation, administration and audit.  Firstly with Coopers & Lybrand and Grant Thornton, then as a principal in public practice since 1986.

Rob holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Melbourne and qualified as an Associate of the Australian Society of CPA's in 1980.  Robert is a Registered Company Auditor and a Fellow of CPA's Australia.

Thomas P Hickie, Partner.
Tom Hickie qualified as a CPA in 1983 and has many years experience in accounting and taxation as well as providing management advice to a wide range of business entities.

Tom obtained 12 years commercial experience in accountancy with Fosters and graduated from RMIT as a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) in 1982.  Tom is a Registered Tax Agent and also Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia.

He has been a principal in practice since 1986 and with Rob, formed the accounting practice of Cottle and Hickie in July 1990.

Priya Mishra, Accountant
Priya joined Cottle and Hickie in September 2008.  She is a qualified CPA and has over 10 years experience in the public practice environment.  Priya graduated from Swinburne University with Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Business Law and has also undertaken Post Graduate studies in Asian languages at La Trobe University.

Ashley King, Accountant
Ashley joined Cottle and Hickie in November, 2003 after working with Telstra and GE Capital.  He undertook his studies at Deakin University and is currently working in the firm in accounting and taxation services whilst studying for his CPA.  As well as accounting, Ashley majored in computer studies and applies this area to his work.

John Beasley, Accountant
John commenced employment with Cottle and Hickie in March 2007, after a year of overseas travel. John completed his VCE at Wesley College in 2001 and in 2005 graduated from Deakin University with a Degree in Bachelor of Commerce.  He is currently completing the CPA Programme to obtain his professional CPA status. John follows football, soccer, basketball and cricket and enjoys movies, music and spending time with friends.

Paula Jess, Office Manager
Paula joined Cottle and Hickie in January 2005, commencing in the position of Office Manager.  She has had extensive experience in administration and prior to joining Cottle and Hickie worked extensively in accounting practice administration.  Previous work experience has also involved secretarial and receptionist duties.

Paula's position involves overseeing the general day to day administrative functions of the Office, staff issues, and in particular management of the tax lodgement program.

Originally from Melbourne, Paula has spent long periods living interstate, thirteen years in Canberra and three years in Perth.

Lucy Vignone, Administrative Assistant
Lucy joined Cottle and Hickie in August 2002.  Lucy has had many years experience in administrative and bookkeeping roles and currently administers our tax and ELS lodgements as well as doubling as our receptionist.
 
Sue Brock, Bookkeeper
Sue commenced working with Cottle and Hickie in January 1997 on a casual basis and now works three days per week.  Over the years, Sue's role has changed and presently she is responsible for the internal administration of Cottle and Hickie involving preparation of wages, control of debtors and creditors and the trust account and reception and more recently has taken up the responsibility for our clients' secretarial and corporate requirements.

Sue also came from a CPA environment, having worked on both a full and part-time basis, eventually leaving to start a family.  Her work experience over the years included some time with a legal firm and a futures broking firm, both in the city in a bookkeeping capacity.
